To remove the cradle (guts), take off the rear trunion ( #15 in the diagram). I can't remember if you have to remove the tilt screw or just make it loose from the side of the housing. Remove the tilt screw mechanism and the stop nuts on the tilt screw/rod. Anti-kickback pawls, miter gauge, blade wrenches, push stick and 10 in.As for advice: Remove the blade.
